Welcome, I hope you enjoy looking around the website, finding out about the wonders of glass & information about my flameworked (or lampworked) glass jewellery, including how I make each beads. There is also info on where you can purchase my work and how you can learn to make your own beads.
My contemporary jewellery is made using the beads I make in an oxygen/propane flame using Venetian 'lampwork' and blown glass techniques believed to have originated in 16th & 17th century Italy. I often work to commission, please contact me directly or come and visit a show if you'd like to discuss a special piece.
A wide selection of my work is always available at the Sussex Guild Shop, The North Wing, Southover Grange, Southover Road, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1TP and I frequently show my work at 'top of the range' contemporary design & craft shows and galleries in the South East of England.
Between 20th - 29th August I will be displaying my work at Forge Gallery, Walberton BN18 0PQ as part of the Arundel Gallery Trail 2022.
Please email me to join my mailing list for up to date information and complimentary tickets for future shows. You can also follow me on Instagram @anniemccabeglass where I add my latest news and new work.
If you are visiting Brighton, you are welcome to visit my studio by appointment, use my contact page to check I am around. I also offer lessons in this amazing craft. You can find out more about lessons on my 'Information' page
